What exactly is this test called?

Why should you consider taking the PTE Academic Exam?

The Pearson Test of English Academic is a completely online and computer-based English language exam that is used for immigration and foreign education reasons. This exam is driven by artificial intelligence technology, and in contrast to other grading methods, the PTE grading is fully objective and devoid of any influence from human subjectivity.

Different kinds of PTE Exams

PTE Academic Exam

Cancellation Fees for the PTE Exam

• If a candidate cancels their test 14 calendar days before their test date, they are eligible for a full refund in the event that they are unable to take the examination on the day that it was set for them.
• If the applicant calls to cancel their test registration more than seven calendar days before the scheduled exam date, they will receive a refund of fifty percent of the money.
• Candidates who cancel their test registration with fewer than seven calendar days to go before the exam will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.

PTE Exam Rescheduling Fees

• Candidates who reschedule their test date at least 14 calendar dates before their actual exam date will not be responsible for paying any additional fees for the new test date.
• Candidates who reschedule the exam 13-8 calendar dates before the actual test date will be required to pay a cost that is equivalent to 50% of the fee for the new test date.
• Candidates who reschedule the exam date fewer than seven calendar dates before the actual test date are required to pay the entire amount for a new test date in order to keep their original test date.

To reschedule a test through Pearson:

• Launch the web browser and go to www.pearsonpte.com.
• Sign in to your personal account on My PTE.
• Choose either the option to reschedule or cancel the appointment.

Procedures to follow in order to sign up for the PTE exam:

• Create a new online account on the official PTE Academic Website, or enter your login information to access an existing account.
• After you have created an account, be sure to carefully fill in all of the data, including the details of your passport.
• Following that, you will be given the opportunity to select the examination location, day, and time that are most suitable for you.
• After you have filled in all of the data, you will be able to continue with the payment.
• After the money has been processed, you will then be sent an acknowledgement receipt.

Which exam is more challenging: the PTE or the IELTS?

Both the IELTS and the PTE are regarded as having a difficulty level that is equivalent. The PTE exam can only be done online, but the IELTS exam may be taken either online or at a traditional testing centre.
